These terms govern your use of Sumora's educational workshops, toolkits, and community programmes. Please read them at your own pace — they are written to be clear and straightforward.
Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions, the following words carry specific meanings:
- "Agreement" — these Terms and Conditions together with any other policies referenced herein.
- "Service" — any workshop, toolkit, community membership, or education programme offered by Sumora.
- "User" / "you" — any individual who accesses or enrols in a Service.
- "We" / "Us" / "Our" — Sumora, operating from 15-A, Lebuh Pantai, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
- "Content" — all text, templates, worksheets, audio, video, and materials made available through the Service.
- "Programme" — a structured multi-session educational experience offered by Sumora.
Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in, attending, or purchasing any Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with enrolment.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this Agreement.
- If enrolling on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
- Continued use of any Service after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
Service Description
Sumora offers general-education programmes focused on personal saving habits, goal-setting, and everyday money-management awareness. Our current offerings include:
- Savings Habit Workshop — a single-session workshop on building repeatable saving routines (RM 470).
- Habit Toolkit & Community — a collection of trackers, printable habit cards, and access to a peer support community (RM 1,520).
- Steady Savings Programme — a multi-week education programme with group sessions, templates, and a certificate of attendance (RM 4,100).
Services are made available to participants in Malaysia and may be delivered in-person, online, or as a hybrid format at our discretion. We reserve the right to adjust scheduling, format, or facilitators with reasonable notice.
User Accounts
Some Services require you to create or maintain an account on our platform or community space.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity carried out under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering.
- Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for an extended period.
User Responsibilities
When using any Service, you agree to:
- Engage respectfully with facilitators and fellow participants.
- Use Content solely for personal, non-commercial learning purposes.
- Refrain from sharing or distributing programme materials beyond your personal use.
- Not record sessions without prior written consent from Sumora.
- Not disrupt, misrepresent, or circumvent any aspect of the Service.
- Comply with all applicable Malaysian laws and regulations while participating.
Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to, impersonating others, uploading harmful content to any community space, or attempting to interfere with our systems.
Intellectual Property
All Content, branding, materials, and programme designs are the intellectual property of Sumora unless otherwise stated.
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Content for your personal learning during the period of your enrolment.
- You may not copy, reproduce, sell, or distribute any Content without our written permission.
- Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you share with us may be used by Sumora to improve our Services without obligation to you.
Payment Terms
All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless noted.
- Payment is required at the time of enrolment unless a payment plan has been agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods include bank transfer and major debit or credit cards as listed on the payment page.
- Refunds: A full refund is available if written cancellation is received at least 7 calendar days before the first session date. Cancellations made after this period may receive a partial credit at our discretion. No refund is issued once a programme has commenced, except where required by Malaysian consumer protection law.
- If a session is cancelled by Sumora, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
Programme-Specific Terms
Additional conditions apply to specific Service types:
- Workshops: Attendance at the full session is encouraged for the best experience; partial attendance does not entitle you to a discount or rescheduled session.
- Toolkit & Community: Community access is granted for the period stated at the time of purchase. We may update, modify, or retire individual tools and templates with reasonable notice.
- Steady Savings Programme: Certificates of attendance are issued to participants who complete all scheduled group sessions. Certificates reflect participation in a general-education programme only and do not constitute a professional qualification.
Disclaimers
All Services are provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
- Sumora does not offer regulated financial advice, investment management, or any other licensed financial service.
- Content is provided "as is" and we make no representations about its completeness or suitability for any particular purpose.
- Individual outcomes from applying habits discussed in our programmes will vary and depend on many personal factors beyond our control.
- Nothing in our Services should be interpreted as a promise of any specific monetary or personal outcome.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law:
- Sumora's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant Service.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages of any kind.
- We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power failures, or government-mandated restrictions.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sumora, its staff, facilitators, and contractors from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your breach of these Terms;
- Your misuse of any Content or Service; or
- Any conduct that violates applicable law.
Termination
Either party may terminate participation in a Service:
- By you: Written notice to [email protected], subject to the refund terms in Section 7.
- By Sumora: We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, behave in a way that disrupts other participants, or for any other reasonable cause. Fees paid for sessions not yet delivered will be refunded on a pro-rata basis where applicable.
Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and dispute resolution survive termination.
Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. In the event of a dispute:
- Step 1 — Informal Resolution: Contact us at [email protected]. We will make a genuine effort to resolve matters amicably within 14 business days.
- Step 2 — Mediation: If informal resolution is not reached, the parties may agree to refer the matter to a mediator accredited by the Malaysian Mediation Centre.
- Step 3 — Courts: Any unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.
General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sumora regarding the Services.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms at any time does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. Sumora may assign these Terms in connection with a merger or business transfer.
- Notices: Formal notices from you to us should be sent to [email protected] or to the address in Section 16. We may send notices to your registered email address.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. When we do:
- The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised.
- For material changes, we will notify enrolled participants by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
- Your continued participation in any Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are written in English. In the event of any inconsistency between translated versions, the English version prevails.
