Why Sumora
Education that fits your actual week, not an ideal one.
What sets Sumora apart is not a special formula — it is a consistent, respectful approach to helping people build habits they can keep.

Six things that shape every Sumora programme
Educator Expertise
Sumora's programmes are designed and led by trained adult educators with backgrounds in habit formation and community finance. Sessions are not product pitches dressed as education.
- Adult learning principles applied
- Regular curriculum review
- Facilitators, not salespeople
Structured Process
Each programme follows a clear arc — awareness, design, practice, review — so participants build habits incrementally rather than trying to change everything at once.
- Incremental habit design
- Printable and digital templates
- Weekly reflection prompts
Genuine Community
The Habit Toolkit includes access to a community of people working on the same habits — a space for sharing small wins without pressure or competition.
- Peer support, not performance
- Moderated, respectful space
- Ongoing beyond sessions
Respectful Tone
No shame, no comparison, no urgency. Sumora sessions are built around the understanding that people's relationship with money is personal and often carries history.
- Judgement-free environment
- Participant-set goals
- Calm, unhurried pacing
Local Relevance
Content, examples, and cost figures reflect life in Penang and Malaysia — not generic global textbooks. Everything is contextualised to the realities participants actually face.
- Malaysian cost-of-living examples
- Penang-based sessions
- Bilingual flexibility
Transparent Positioning
Sumora provides general saving habits education, not licensed financial advice. We are clear about what we are — and are not — so participants can engage with appropriate expectations.
- No product affiliations
- Clear scope of content
- Ethical facilitation standards
In Depth
What each advantage looks like in practice
Deep facilitation experience
Our lead facilitator, Mei-Ling, brings over eight years of adult education experience to every session. Rather than presenting slides, she guides conversations — drawing out what each participant already knows and building on it gradually.
The Steady Savings Programme is structured using an adapted version of habit-loop theory, applied in plain language without psychological jargon. The goal is always transferability — participants should be able to carry what they learn into the following Monday morning without needing a manual.
What this means for you
- Sessions adapt to the room, not a rigid script
- Content built from real participant questions, not invented ones
- Facilitators understand when to slow down and revisit
- Over six years of running workshops in Penang — the curriculum has matured through actual use
Participant experience details
- Individual welcome email before each session
- Post-session follow-up with summary notes
- Named contact at Sumora for all questions
- Feedback collected after every workshop and reviewed
Attentive, unhurried service
Because we keep groups small, Siti and the team can communicate with each participant individually — before, during, and after a programme. Questions get a real answer, not a form response.
We also offer a rescheduling option for participants who miss a session in the multi-week programme, subject to availability. The goal is to remove the friction that makes people give up on something they genuinely want to do.
Clear, straightforward pricing
Sumora's three programmes are priced openly: RM 470 for a single workshop, RM 1,520 for the Habit Toolkit with community, and RM 4,100 for the full Steady Savings Programme. No hidden fees, no upsell during sessions.
Payment is made before attendance and accepted via major Malaysian bank transfer or DuitNow. We do not hold your card details or enrol you in recurring charges.
What is included
- All materials — no surprise add-ons
- Printable and digital versions of all templates
- Refreshments at in-person sessions
- Certificate of attendance for the full programme

Distinctive features of our approach
The Goal Jar Method
A physical and digital system for naming and visualising saving goals — not as abstract numbers but as tangible, named jars. Developed by Sumora and used across all programmes.
Reflective Habit Cards
A set of weekly prompt cards that encourage participants to review their saving activity without judgment — what worked, what did not, and what to try next week.
No Product Affiliations
Sumora has no arrangement with any financial institution, insurance provider, or investment platform. Our income comes only from programme fees — so our sessions are never a pitch in disguise.
Certificate of Attendance
Participants who complete the Steady Savings Programme receive a printed and digital certificate — a meaningful marker of the commitment and time they invested in their habits.
